Ernie Miller's corner store and soda fountain was a place where every customer was a friend. You could buy candy, nuts, notions, patent medicine, perfume, jewelry, magazines, greeting cards, newspapers, and - of course - ice cream ! You could get a cherry phosphate for a nickel or a banana split for 50 cents.
